Takatsukasa Kanetada (鷹司 兼忠) was Chancellor of Japan in the apex of his career.
Takatsukasa Kanetada was born into the Takatsukasa clan, a branch of the Fujiwara clan, as the son of Takatsukasa Kanehira. He thus may be called Fujiwara Kanetada in old texts.
His tenure as Chancellor lasted from 1296 to 1298; in that title, he was preceded by Konoe Iemoto and succeeded by Nijō Kanemoto.[DNHS-377]
His tenure as Advisor lasted from 1298 to 1299; in that title, he was preceded by Takatsukasa Kanehira and succeeded by Nijō Kanemoto.[DNHS-377]
